2.2 Firestopping & Sealants

Fire Foam & Sealant: Fill the gap between the chute and floor slab with certified fire-rated materials.
Intumescent Seals: Prevent the spread of smoke and fire through floor penetrations.
2.3 Fire-Rated Shaft (Enclosure)
According to UK/EU standards, the chute body must be enclosed within a fire-rated shaft.
Materials : Typically constructed using fire-rated plasterboard.
